About Lana…..
I was born and raised in Southern California. I grew up in LA County and went to college at San Diego State University earning my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I worked for 30+ years in the commercial modular industry working hand-in-hand with developers and business owners building apartments, townhomes, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. I have worked for large companies like General Electric and smaller family-owned businesses, where I took great pride in helping them grow their businesses into large public companies. I have held leadership and sales positions where my focus was always putting my clients first to assist them in solving their construction and development needs.
I went to law school later in life at Northwestern California School of Law while working full-time and raising a family. After law school I interned for the Orange County Superior Courts and focused on the area of Consumer Warranty and Lemon Law. I soon realized my life experience, skills and decades of experience working in business presented me with the opportunity to assist my clients, friends and acquaintances with what they needed from someone they could trust. From the legal aspects of running a business, navigating employees, entering into contacts, resolving business disputes, starting a new business and the day-to-day operations of a business, I can provide a more educated, street smart and common-sense approach to business law.
Life Can Change in an Instant…..
Having been diagnosed with cancer in 2018, I became keenly aware of the state of my own personal affairs and how unprepared I was facing a catastrophic and potentially lethal illness. I thought I had plenty of time to work on my own trust and estate plan “later”. Life threw me a curveball I wasn’t prepared for, and I had to learn and plan fast. I am happy to say I made it to remission, but 2018 taught me some valuable lessons about planning and preparation. Shortly thereafter, I transitioned my practice to include Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts, Trust Administration, Probate, Conservatorship and of course…..Business Law. Now I have combined my life experience into a boutique and personal law practice helping people plan and prepare for the future in their personal lives and helping them run their businesses.
On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family, working out daily with the love of my life, walking my two labradors, playing pickleball, mountain biking, sailing with friends and being outdoors in the sun, water, sand and snow.
